The Queer Liberation March ends with a Rally featuring speeches and performances by a variety of phenomenal activists and organizers. Join us in raising $40,000 in two weeks, and help us to pay our speakers, rent equipment, and livestream the events.

Two black people stand outside, behind a massive speaker. Both people wear shirts reading “BLACK TRANS MEDIA.” On the left, the black person with shoulder-length curly hair holds up their fist. They hold hands with a black person wearing a “Brooklyn” hat and carrying a large drum. The drum is covered in graffiti, and what can be seen reads “FUCK YOU NYPD.”

“There are legal methods by which migration can and should occur,” she says. That's complete nonsense considering the fact those methods are designed to exclude the very people who would come by crossing the border. Spoken like a true cop.

Only demographic anxiety leads intelligent people on the left and the right to argue that a company’s poorly conceptualized diversity training is just as bad or worse than state legislators making it illegal to teach ideas, writings and histories that do not like.

While the NYPD imposes a 10pm curfew in a public park - largely effecting black, brown, young, queer, trans, homeless and poor ppl - bars 100 yards away that cater to white ppl stay open until 4am.

Funny thing: I listened to the last episode on my way to the park and while I was there, I'm pretty sure one of the voice actors walked past our picnic.

Back in November, I rerererestarted listening to and am finally caught up (except for the holiday livestream, which I hope they'll rerelease in December). A post-covid commitment to myself that I think I'll actually keep is to attend their next live show.

I guess now that weed is legal the NYPD doesn’t know what to do, so attacking people in parks is the new thing

The 2021 Queer Liberation March is organized by volunteers, but an event this amazing comes with costs. If you donate to us, you’ll help print banners and other beautiful pieces of signage for folks at our March. Join us as we raise $40,000 in 2 weeks:

In this photo, a group of people stand outside at a park. A group of masked people holds up a large black and pink banner that reads “QUEER LIBERATION MARCH FOR BLACK LIVES AND AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY. Sunday June 28 2020.” On the right side of the banner is a black person’s fist, and the fist has pink nail polish. Behind the folks holding the banner, there is a row of massive puppets being held by volunteers. While not all puppets are visible in the image, a few of the puppets that can be seen fully represent Alice Nkom, Bayard Rustin, Marsha P. Johnson, the Statue of Liberty, and Sylvia Rivera.

Folks say “what about rapists and murderers” and I swear to christ you can type that plus “police abolition” into Google and find your answer. It’s not the gotcha you think it is.

NYers spent over a year primarily confined to their small apartments. the past couple of weeks, state+local leaders have told us NY is open for business. apparently, public parks are not included. the city that never sleeps is violently closing them at 10pm on a weekend night.

The 2021 Queer Liberation March is coming, and we need your help to make it amazing for all 50,000 anticipated attendees. By helping us to raise $40,000 in two weeks, you'll be supporting queer activism, queer art, and queer joy.

On a black background, pink and white text reads "SUPPORT THE QUEER LIBERATION MARCH AS WE WORK TO RAISE $40,000 IN 2 WEEKS. relcaimpridenyc.org/donate" On the right side of the text, there is a graphic of a thermometer. The thermometer has a pink stroke and a white background, and there are dotted and solid lines running horizontally across the thermometer. On each solid line is a number, counting up to $40,000. The thermometer is currently empty

Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera used money from their survival sex work to fund a space for BIPOC queer youth in NYC to live. I wish that was talked about as much as the word “Brick.”
