    Alese and I finally saw each other today for the first time after the kidney transplant. She looks and feels better than she’s has in years. This has been worth every minute of pain. 😭 We also love our shirts, courtesy of a fellow geeky friend 💚

    I still have pain along my main incision, damaged nerves down the right side of my body, and tender scar tissue. My three smaller incisions are still scabs. But my sister is doing incredible and that’s the most important thing.

    I am officially six weeks out from my today. My lifting restriction (10 pounds) is over, so I can now carry my DSLR and all my multimedia equipment. This has gone as well as major, medically unnecessary (for me) surgery could go.

    .’s Ashley Moore: addresses myth of “paramedics/doctors won’t try as hard to save my life if I’m an organ donor.” These ppl have nothing to do with donation, she says. They follow oath to treat you and outside orgs like Lifelink comes in if need be.
