    Came out in full force today to honor and celebrate our veterans! I represented my Girl Scout Troop, Elkhorn Village Elementary, and West Sacramento City Council!! It filled my heart with joy to see so much of our community out cheering and enjoying this year’s Veterans parade.

    As of 10 pm Sunday, 5.08 inches of rain has now fallen in Sacramento, the second-highest total ever recorded in a single day since 1880 (!!). The city can still break the record as the day ends at 1am and the rain hasn’t appeared to slow.

    Through 8 pm, the rain continues and the Sacramento (City) precipitation total so far today is 4.84 inches. This now places us solidly in 2nd place for the all-time record daily rainfall since record keeping began back in 1877! Stay tuned for updates and stay safe.

    Years ago Lennie and Kitty Triboli saw a plot of land that was being neglected. They decided to do something about it! For FIFTY YEARS they took care of this land. Last year, the City of West Sacramento purchased the land and this week the city named it after the couple.

    20th anniversary of 9/11, started our final walk day with a prayer from my uncle and pastor Josepf Ware. My Dad, who grew up in New York, talked about his memories of the World Trade Center, watching it be built and the impact of seeing it destroyed. We Remember!

    Glad I got a chance to come out with my daughter for the set up of the annual 9/11 memorial flag tribute for the 20th anniversary. We will definitely come back to see it this weekend on Jefferson Blvd in West Sacramento.
