I would argue at the same time that this sort of thing is exactly what Marx wanted: the advancement of technology to free workers from labour.

Mm I getcha. As a dyspraxic who subsequently can't drive, I'd add myself to people who'd like them. I do think there's a lot of us (for other reasons than my own) out there.

Yes, and I think there's a difference between knowing you'll never drive and that limiting options, and just not being arsed to learn. Getting lifts to/from work when I didn't live in London was important, and why I started cycling for a bit.

Do itttt. Also, I stopped cycling because I got doored, and couldn't cope with the stress of London traffic anymore. Cannot imagine many London kids cycle compared to national average.

Yes, it's the whole 'not actually being able or allowed to drive' thing, you wind up getting very stressed when you make a mistake like that.
