It works with any standard glue. In the UK, it's called PVA, but I remember an old flatmate used magic/crazy glue?

I've used a lot of gold leaf, and adhesive means little, but any standard varbish seals it very happily.

Yep, leave it to dry then varnish, unless it's on paper
