Er, stonewall? Trans rights have always been bound up with LGB rights. When you are ostracised from society because people think you are all weird in the same way, you stick together for support. It's a shame some forget that.

And if they are confused, why push them in either direction? By not accepting trans you defacto push them towards cis gender. You will not make anyone turn trans who isn't just by making room for their existence.

Again, are they doing so due to societal pressure to fit in or is that their natural state? They don't exactly get the impression that it's ok to be trans now so can you be certain on those figures?

How many adults end up coming out much later in life? Being trans in a society that rejects you is hard. Same way being gay in a society that didn't accept you was hard. Many gay people married opposite sex just to avoid the stigma.
