Male journalists, do academics email you essentially asking you to do their research/googling for them, or is this another instance where women get treated like a public service.

That is a fairly standard reference enquiry that would probably take their librarian ten minutes to do. It is bizarre they would ask you rather than the person WHOSE JOB IT IS to find stuff
