Could it be possible that the rot is on the left and the right? That Brexit splits both parties because they don't make any more sense? Labour have spent 100 years delivering the worst socialism in northern Europe. Likewise the Tories don't "stand" for anything but power.

Perhaps the politics of this parliament, with its binary non-representative parties and tribes (and their associated gang of media sounding boards) don't actually represent the broad reach and depth of British needs, desires and wants. They don't even come close.
