International coverage of Britain First reminds me of Michael Billig's observation in 1978: 'Some far right groups receive a level of attention that is wholly disproportionate to their actual significance'.

Hi Dawn, sure I underestimated Lab in June (by 1.9 pts!) but do remember one reason why Lab is (still) not in power is to do with broader problems I & others have been pointing to for many years

Worth revisiting this thread after Labour were decimated in the heartlands this month. As predicted it went: working-class abstention -> UKIP -> Cameron/Leave in 2016 -> Brexit Party -> Johnson and Conservatives

I mean, if you think 60%+ of working class voting Brexit, 140 Labour-held seats voting Brexit, Cons having best election among working-class, Lab finishing 3rd in 2014 EP (behind Ukip) & now still out of power then ... ok... but we disagree!

As I said, your original point was that people shouldn't pay undue attention to far right groups. You repeatedly claimed UKIP were about to make big breakthroughs that never materialised, Nuttall was a threat not a liability, so you're guilty of that yourself.
