I love this fact, always forget to look out for them. Tons are dumped in Thames though too, so many they effect compasses or something?

We still have gaps in railings up here where the iron was taken away for smelting to be used during war.

Our house (Bristol) is one of the few on the street to still have railings. Elderly neighbour says because children lived there at the time
