I can worship in a church with a hundred people, I can drink outside surrounded by countless others, and I can dine in a restaurant in the company of dozens... but if I do all this and call it a wedding, it’s illegal. I understand the need for rules. I just want them to be fair.

We are at least emotionally prepared for last minute changes. After all, we remember Christmas. But yes, there are a number of liberties being allowed for the economy which are driving transmission, while numerous small cruelties remain which are unlikely to make much difference

That is the nightmare scenario. That just pours tens of thousands down the drain for umpteen couples. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a collective move for recompense down the line.
