My cannula hurts like hell, has been in for a week, and I’ve complained about it repeatedly, so might just take it out myself.
No, I’m on sleep deprivation so not allowed to sleep, still very sore. My room’s next to the nurse’s station so asked again and got the exact same response “I’ll get the other nurse on shift to do it” (they won’t do it)

If you want to talk to me because you’re awake you can DM. I had cancer a few years ago and the cancer nurses on the day ward were amazing with cannulas. But the ward nurses were a disaster. Being awake at night in hospital is lonely and sleep deprivation is torture.

Take care and the offer stands if you want someone to talk to. It’s horrible being in hospital. People who’ve not been think you lay in bed and have your temperature taken. But the reality is often that you get poked and prodded and kind of roughed up.

. Probably best, they will help you. Book an Uber. You’ll wait for a while but meh it’s a lot better than doing it yourself. The risk of sepsis is high.
damn. The night staff generally hate changing stuff and want you to go to sleep. How you doing now? It occurs to me that you are asleep and I’m about to wake you.
