I've had a dozen telemedicine appointments this year that were approx 2 minutes long and basically consisted of "how ya feeling?" "great, just need my prescriptions renewed" "alrighty, see ya in 6 months" and now i can never go back to all the bullshit doctors office time wasting

I had an amazing 54 second doctors appointment where I said “can I have a blood test?” He said “Yeah, I’ll book a slot in the hospital” (they’re not doing them in my surgery atm) then got the bus an hour later, and he called me for three minutes two days later.

And half of that three minutes was us both talking about how amazing telemedicine was for stuff like that (routine stuff that makes up half his workload, like me trying to get off my anaemia meds by getting three monthly blood tests) and how we didn’t want to go back.

yeah the convenience has come up multiple times and everyone agrees this is just dramatically better for most visits

Really hope the option’s kept open: the amount of time it’ll save both doctors and patients is incredible. As long as in-person appointments can be requested by either party when physical examinations aren’t a component I don’t see a problem.
