Most mattresses have like a trial period so if the firmness isn’t okay it helps - so look out for that. Minor thing in a way but get a mattress protector just to ensure you can exchange if you need to
Yes, and if the mattress has a memory foam component, get a padded protector designed to keep you cooler.
I did a LOT of research and an very happy with my Nectar memory foam - second choice was Simba
Interesting! Was just reading about Nectar, and you’re the second person to mention Simba.
We got an Emma mattress last year and it's been great - they seem to be on offer fairly frequently
I got sleepeezee memory foam ones (from Argos) and my rheumatic hip, which used to make it all but impossible to do stairs on a bad day, has not hurt at all, since. I got one for mum's room and she (also shitty hips) reports the same effect.
Memory foam mattresses are torture if you have hot flushes at night. They retain and amplify heat.
Oh, I had a T4-S1 meningioma and pre-surgery I invested in an Eve mattress. Best move I ever made. It helped during, post and even now it's still heaven.
Ooh, that is very good to know! And hope you’ve improved post surgery.
