Met with a priest friend outside in the darkness and pouring rain to pray together for a mutual friend who died of Covid, so was to put it mildly, less than thrilled by a bloke I saw less than an hour later lunging and pretending to cough on every woman that overtook him & his gf

A) You might have it, you don’t know B) I might have it! I don’t know C) That’s not the point is it? That behaviour would never be acceptable anywhere D) It’s made me properly furious that street harassment plus putting women in fear for their lives is enjoyable for some people

I screamed into a pillow for a bit when I got home and changed into dry clothes. I hope he does think he has Covid, or at the very least stops behaving like that. Seen lots of thoughtless behaviour but very rare acts of clear malice.

I regretted not giving him a bollocking and actually saying something eloquent rather than “pretending to have Covid” but felt extremely down and existential after standing in the rain for two hours and watching a funeral on Zoom. Just felt surreal.
