Always eye-roll when people bitch about hospital food because cooking that much food on a tiny budget is mad impressive, given the menu choice & diabetic/gluten free/veggie/vegan options, but someone complaining they don’t cater for “macrobiotic diets” has fully got my back up.

I literally starved for two weeks and lived on oat bars because I couldn't get food that was safe to eat as a celiac. The regular food looks good and everyone else seemed to enjoy it but cuts to the NHS have done away with the ability to cater for specialist diets.

Not in the three hospitals I was in last year. As I said, the budgets have been slashed to a pittance, but expecting a macrobiotic menu is ludicrous.
