I remember when I first plated The Outer Worlds and it game me motion sickness. Urgh. Thankfully I managed to change the settings to stop this happening but yes, these sort of things need to be sorted on release. This is a different case though, as it's a specific quest.

Motion Sickness is very common, I've suffered for years with it and can only now enjoy some FPS games.

As someone how used to write the software this kind of consideration involves the real world and not something that overly impacts on produces view. They are mostly failed film directors/produces producing interactive movies moviesfor their CV.

I can believe a developer there thought it was a cool scene transition or something and put it in, but that nobody at a AAA studio as large as CDPR saw it and pointed out the issue before it reached the launch build of the game really does speak to them not giving a shit

People who are prone to photogenic seizures simply shouldn't play action games of any kind. Also just my opinion. I've seen a guy get a seizure while playing a 2D side scrolling game on a C64. The entire genre of Cyberpunk 2077 is way beyond safe.

That episode ended well, btw, because he wasn't gaming alone. It also didn't make him stop playing video games.
