I walked to work and never bought lattes before this, why should I lose out? Should there be a tax on people who don't own cars for the same reason? What about the frugal, maybe they should be taxed for not contributing as much to the economy.

You know plenty of people think pedestrians and, particularly, cyclists are a drain on the taxpaying polluter, so there are probably plenty of folk who *do* think making your own coffee should be taxed.
