Starmer backing Corbyn to become Prime Minister in an election then kicking him out of the party 10 months later is petty and vindictive, and shows Starmer will play any role and adopt any position for power.

what bends my head is that starmer now initiating stance that any suggestion the media exaggerated scale of issue is beyond the pale and grounds for expulsion - which means he stood a few months ago on a platform for govt that was an existential threat to british jews

as others have pointed out this actually contradicts the report that we are saying we fully agree with and will implement the recommendations from entirely, tho of course suspending Corbyn was done completely at odds to said report recommendations as well so...

this is pure speculation, but my hunch is starmer went for corbyn purely and solely cos the immediate response to report from labour right types and hacks was to call for corbyn to be suspended - something that bore no relation to the contents of the report

I thought it was when Jeremy put put a statement that said the opposite of what Starmer said while Starmer was still saying it.

Nah I'm good thanks. Ill stick with the most blindingly obvious conclusion, the one I predicted as soon as I read the statement.

fair enough, well its great then that the current leader of the labour party was literally and without hyperbole an existential threat to british jews less than a year ago and if you disagree then you can't be in the labour party, fantastic

Word soup mate. No idea what that means but Corbyn said what Starmer said was part of the problem. It was obvious he'd be asked questions on it and very obvious he'd be suspended. QED. 48 hours of silence and reflection and he'd still be in the party.
