in the US all the boomers think they marched for civil rights, protested the vietman war, and went to woodstock, which at least for *some* of them is temporally possible. UK boomers think they lived through WWII which is impossible

My great-gran did, my gran did not, and oddly my gran does not do this. I know more about WW2 than her because I did modules on it (and one on the home front!) for instance.

It's amazing because people that actually went through ww2 never want to talk about or use it to point score. My gran and grandpa only talked about it twice to me in 20+ years.
