Absolutely abhorrent women are still not allowed partners in the room during childbirth. Even if it slightly increases risk for staff, the psychological fallout is huge. I found it rough just being alone for 5 days at a time with epilepsy complications 4 times, & I’m used to them

To be honest too it’s not really increasing the risk that much as they are allowed in during active labour so that person is likely to be there for hours anyway, they’re just arriving a bit later

Yes, exactly! It makes no sense whatsoever and actively stresses both the women and their partners out during a very stressful time anyway.
