I really do think there's something different about the electorate in a post-Corbyn UK. Watching all the "here's how you can feed a family of 10 on 100g of gruel" takes come in and feeling like this kind of thinking has really shifted mainstream in a way I don't think it was

when Johnson was running for mayor, meeting some guy who was bragging about having connections to him. In convo, I said I didn't get free school meals ( I think we're just above threshold) and his replied 'It's good that your mother had the decency to not scrounge off the state'

Question is, is this the nascent stage of true totalitarianism or, because of the lack of a specific political target, are we going to see this fail to do anything material except set up for the next round in a decade or so?
