Quick question for the #chronicpain community, I am long used to ginding my teeth to a pulp but all day my tongue really stings with any food/drink. It is white- have I started biting my tongue in my sleep? @DawnHFoster

You might have done - is it the sides? That’s the bit I bite with seizures, and can usually tell I’ve had a seizure in my sleep when the sides are sore and white, but worth speaking to a doctor to check other symptoms to rule out, who might refer you to a dentist for a teethguard

I have spent years on & off grinding my teeth & am due another mouthguard when my NHS dentist can put it for it bit I never have experienced anything like this with my tongue-only lukewarm tea is bearable. It's not at the sides though, it's right down the middle. Stingy AF!

If you are run down, you could have a vitamin deficiency, causing a white coating on your tongue, sore and slightly swollen, hence teeth marks. B Vit supplement might help. X

Yeah, if it’s a white coating, it’s unlikely to be biting. I’d def call a GP in that instance.
