About 80% of my texts from the NHS so far are moving appointments, without a single one keeping to the original date, and wonder how they manage to make sure people with access problems get the messages.

Today I got a letter from the dental hospital informing me of my appointment, which was yesterday. It was short notice (snuck in on a cancellation!) so must just be automated but just feels like a waste of paper!

And also people’s time! If you don’t use text (and my texts are automated) and you’re fitting people in on a cancellation, *ring them* rather than leave the dentist waiting around
