Fun fact, there’s a rotating cone under nearly every pedestrian crossing that’s supposed to help visually impaired people cross roads. But does nothing when it doesn’t move, the lights don’t work, and the crossing’s silent,

Having worked with visually impaired clients for a number of years I find myself checking the crossing cones almost without thinking. Amazing how many are broken, and how few people know they exist or what they are for.

Was up by the RNIB in London a while back and the state of the tactile paving, how poorly it was used (let's send blind people into the road) etc etc was fucking bananas.
