Took a terrible, stupid chance, and got an electronic prescription sent to Boots instead of an independent or remotely competent pharmacy because of late opening hours. What’s the worst that could happen? I thought.

Day three, I have been in to see them in person four times, made 11 phone calls, have 0/3 of my medicines and they have contradicted themselves seven times.

There was report a while ago- pharmacies are supposed to have 2nd pharmacist check before drugs dispensed, but can skip this if overstretched. Boots interpreted this to mean they can have just one on duty, mistakes resulted inc wrong strength morphine tabs that killed someone

That is absolutely horrendous. The Govt changed some pharmacy regulations to help chemists deal with the stresses of Corona so they wouldn't have to close or deny people meds, but taking advantage of them is unbelievable.
