Funnily enough, when I went to school, I remember my maths teacher saying that he couldn’t indoctrinate us to his Marxist politics, because it just wouldn’t add up!

I've known people who say this sort of thing. It's not that they can't bring up and talk about things like a small state or the primary importance of personal liberty. It's things like hereditary superiority and poverty victim blaming.

I would be willing to bet money that, if it happened at all, what happened wasn’t a kid saying, like, “I believe in market economics”, but them getting shut down for saying something unacceptably bigoted in school.
