We all know you can get into trouble for saying "baps" these days. No connotations with "morning rolls"

Never heard anyone in the West of Scotland call a roll a bap. A Bridie is a meat pie not a roll.

I'm from Bristol and I have never heard the term 'morning roll'. It's just a 'bread roll'

This map is all over the place, especially Scotland. A rowie is from Aberdeen, a Bridie isn't even a roll

This is totally wrong. "Rowie" is an Aberdonian lard and butter-based baked good/grease explosion, and "morning roll" is prevalent all over the Central Belt of Scotland instead.

I'm from 'morning roll' country and I swear I've never ever heard of it before.
