Ah, thank you so much! Had anaemia seven months ago bot they said it definitely wasn’t that. Testing again in two weeks, so fingers crossed!

It seems curious that your Hb would drop that much in 5 days, especially as they have specifically stated you haven't got blood loss or "anaemia" Is there any chance you were dehydrated when the first test was taken? This can cause a falsely elevated level. Def needs repeating.

Aha! You might have cracked it - I was just at the turning point of pneumonia and the first phlebotomist asked if I was dehydrated (having great fun healthwise atm, as you can guess). Hospital asked GP to rerun test so fingers crossed.

I don't understand how that can be your discharge letter surely the reason for the drop in haemoglobin needs to be explained suggest you contact your gp I've had a drop-its being investigated
