I’m the person who organised the letter writing campaign over ‘Gender Benders Beware’ in 2004 — which resulted in a substantial apology from the Readers Editor of the time and a naive hope that something had been learned. But lessons never were learned.

I should add that we followed the take down with four years of reaching out to Julie Bindel and taking part in the media charades of debating her in good faith on the BBC. None of that did any good either.
