it's not impossible that the Russia report will be relatively underwhelming

I wouldn't say we are "obsessed" with it - we just want to know whether our democracy has been infiltrated by a foreign govt

That's a given. We actually want to know the extent of that infiltration

And what will be interesting will be how much is redacted on "security" grounds.

Weird take. This is important for transparency.

True but then again I can see them calling it a whitewash if it doesn’t contain exactly what they want and/or is heavily redacted
-
Whatever it contains, withholding in the way the government has, was bound to cause speculation and wild imaginings. Publishing it will put an end to that at least.

It's not being obsessed it is an annoyance at the fact something which should have been published ages ago wasn't. We most probably know that Vladimir Vladimirovich interfered in the referendum and the 2017 & 2019 election

What's worse? To be obsessed; to be disinterested that our democracy may have been subverted; or to not care if it has, because meddling delivered the result you wanted? This should be important to everybody, it's those who don't care that are the bigger problem.
