Glad the NHS are trying to keep as many appointments via phone/videocall but curious why, psychologically, they stress me out majorly beforehand in a way normal ones don’t: I feel perma-worried as though I’ve forgotten homework/revision for them all this week.

I always feel like that, so in a way this is easier for me because on a phone appointment I don't have to try to pull human faces while feeling difficult feelings.

Whereas I normally have blood tests and scans, and reflex tests, but can’t have any of that so am instead reliant on makeshift workarounds

Thats why I'm so against diagnosis by telephone/video - a gp phoned my mum, she told him everything, he said keep taking the pills. A week later she's no better, different gp said come in, examines her, she's got a full blown hernia and more. You can't examine someone by phone...

Eek! Think it’s very difficult for patients to assess their own pain level too, since everyone’s got different thresholds, so easy to miss things over the phone for GPs.
