was thinking re the endless hysterics in the right wing press about "wokeness" – how it's a new Cultural Revolution etc – ten years ago exactly the same papers and columnists were in hysterics about "multiculturalism" and how it had Gone Too Far, society was in peril blah blah…

I made this exact point on TimesRadio with Brendan O’Neill, and BBC with someone else, how when I was a teenager it was “political correctness going too far”, and neither could rebut it because it’s an identical moral panic. So dull.
