Dreaming of a day when you can mention taking your scientifically proven migraine medication without being bombarded with unsolicited nonsense home remedies

Does the medication stop a migraine? I have never been given medication for mine so if there is something that works, I would be really interested.

Have you tried a ‘triptan’? NICE recommends these with an anti-inflammatory and something to stop you feeling sick, if you need it. You can buy Sumatriptan over the counter, but it’s worth discussing your condition with a doc. Good luck. https://pathways.nice.org.uk/pathways/headaches/management-of-migraine-with-or-without-aura#content=view-node%3Anodes-acute-treatment …

Triptans work for me, and each time I mention taking them and them working, I’m still bombarded which is the issue. If I asked for ideas it’d be different.

No home remedy has ever worked for me, and my mother was a nurse who thought she knew more than doctors so I got used to never getting help for them, and just learnt to suffer through them.

I did the same for ages, then a course of Topamax helped, and now I’m just on triptans
