U’ve been ib hospital where the pstient has poor English but doctors speak their language, and I haven’t been bothered or angry.

I’d be interested to understand the context. I presume it applies to staff and not to patients. The reason I query the context is that I worked on patient experience research where patients had experienced staff communicating to each other in languages they couldn’t understand..

This was obviously very distressing for the patients, especially as it suggested staff were talking about them or deliberately keeping information from them. However surely a better policy should be that patient facing work is done in a language the patient understands
