Slightly less likely to make your glasses fog up that way too, in my experience.

Tried it, you are, as always, correct! How did you discover that Dawn?

I saw a photo of a nurse doing it, tried it and was amazed by how well it worked’

A tip to stop glasses steaming up would be welcome

This tip actually helps because it pulls the nose part tighter stopping the warm breath on the lenses. I quite often wash my lenses with soapy water that helps quite a lot, that’s an old trick I use on a motorbike visor

I was advised against it by a colleague. The twisted loop stops the sides fitting flush against the face so could limit the effectiveness. There are small plastic/knitted adapters available (somehow, somewhere!) that allow you to fasten the mask tighter around your head.
