First time I’ve ever heard people kick off at the pharmacists because they had to pay for their one prescription and I was getting several for free when I came in after them

Paying just £9 isn’t ideal, but I got the impression they very rarely got prescriptions, the pharmacist wasn’t remotely going to tell them why I’m exempt or “what my letter is” as reequested, and the pharmacist clearly couldn’t remove it so it was just performative acting out.

that is absolutely wild, my go to is always if you want a free prescription perhaps you would like my debilitating illness and remembering to take 14 tablets a day and also live with the side effects of those too YOU CUNT, so well done for remaining calm loool

It was the first time anyone had ever been rude - also didn’t address me once, just the pharmacists, demanding to know what my tablets were for, as though I couldn’t see/hear her. Have had people ask how I got free scripts before “but obv you don’t have to tell me what’s wrong!”

And I’ve happily explained how I had to get a form signed by my doctor then apply, and told people how they can check their eligibility. But this woman was SO AGGY and acted as though I couldn’t see/hear her and expected the pharmacist to tell her my diagnoses/why I was exempt
