First time I’ve ever heard people kick off at the pharmacists because they had to pay for their one prescription and I was getting several for free when I came in after them

She kept asking questions they couldn’t answer & didn’t want proper answers to, and seemed to have decided doctors just “hand out” exemption codes to whoever they like, when I had to get a form signed stating I’m medically banned from driving and send it to the NHS Business site.

Tbh I think that they should scrap the charge. There are so many exemptions & it is really only an admin fee & probably makes little for the NHS. I’m in a Women’s hospital so most of our patients are exempt.

Yes my husband and I both buy the yearly certificate as we are on too many medications but aren't exempt medically.

Yeah, the junior pharmacist pointed out they tell all patients who get regular medication to get certificates to save money, she had never come in for a prescription before, and just wanted to take her bad mood out on them and me.
