Three day migraine has been replaced by its very good friend, completely ruinous post-migraine fatigue

Used to get horrific chronic migraines a few years ago, until a year of topirimate got rid of them and seemed to reset my brain, but the 30+ heat brought the worst one in years back, so getting some triptans in case it happens again this summer.

as a chronic migraineur, I completely sympathise. Had a 4 day one in the hot weather - the high pressure must have set it off again.

Yeah, the high pressure is my biggest trigger. Massive sympathies - hope you have something that might ease it in the next heatwave

I'm also now on preventative stuff which doesn't stop them occuring 2 or 3 times a month, but does lessen the worst effects.

In about 2012 I was getting migraines for 75% of the month and just miserable. Topamax just seemed to reset my brain and had far far fewer, more manageable ones ever since.

Interesting to know. I've only just got to just about the chronic stage. GP just put it down to turning 40 huh

Hmmm, that is very weird. Realised I’d had them for decades, just put up with them for years as they worsened, but it can get much better! Godspeed, hope the GPs are helpful and listen.
