Three day migraine has been replaced by its very good friend, completely ruinous post-migraine fatigue

Used to get horrific chronic migraines a few years ago, until a year of topirimate got rid of them and seemed to reset my brain, but the 30+ heat brought the worst one in years back, so getting some triptans in case it happens again this summer.

Oooooh nasty, you have my sympathy. I suffer from migraines too. At least you are at the stage where you can watch rubbish television without caring!

The triptans only help me with the aura, they don’t touch the pain 🤕

Argh! Normally if I take painkillers during the aura I can stop the whole thing, but not this time, so taking triptans as well next time I get pins and needles and visual aura.

as a chronic migraineur, I completely sympathise. Had a 4 day one in the hot weather - the high pressure must have set it off again.

Yeah, the high pressure is my biggest trigger. Massive sympathies - hope you have something that might ease it in the next heatwave

Always had attacks after playing rugby. Full aura, zig zagz, reverse tunnel vision, pins snd needles on my left side. Fewer these Days, massive sympathy for you. Have you read Oliver Sachs’s book on migraine ?

I used to get terrible migraines when I lived in a different, hotter country. I definitely think the heat affects them and their severity.

Yeah, the NHS site lists a long list of triggers, but weather changes are one of the most prevalent, and heatwaves and thunderstorms are my worst ones.
