Do you want to read loads of people older than your mum explain nothing’s changed and New Labour actually did loads for your area and didn’t alienate loads of people needlessly? No.

Blair and Co had an absolutely stonking majority and squandered it. No one ever mentions *that*.

I’ve been watching Election ‘97 on the Parliament Channel and when then they said “Tony Blair had written an article in The Sun stating that he was in favour of a Referendum on the EU” - my jaw hit the floor! It didn’t matter to me then but now I’m even more cross with him.

But New Labour would have made sure Remain was a dynamic winning campaign instead of the stunted bag of negativity that Gideon and Cameron cobbled together.

Do you remember why Blair was able to get an absolutely stonking majority? Do you remember the visceral suspicion & distrust of Labour amongst the electorate they had to diffuse? Or how badly the Tories had to screw up just to give Labour the opportunity to be taken seriously?

The Dome project was initiated by the Major government. There are lots of things to criticise New Labour for, but that isn't one of them
