Although the novel is a bit ‘meh’, Nicholl’s ‘Starter for Ten’ has a poor protagonist with a posh love interest whose family only owns one TV but several houses. Mine (although it may well be a rural/urban split more) is whether or not you worry about what school your child goes to rather than just, well, sending them to school.
