Is it worth writing something about how patient/doctor relationships and communication is affected by the big shift to telephone consultations?

Yes but here to make a note in opposite direction to many: option of telephone and email consultation can actually be a kind of hard negotiated access strategy for people who struggle to get out of the house, benefit from asynchronous detailed comms for complex issues

Yes, have found it very helpful to be able to send electronic messages to my GP about tests results, prescriptions, records etc, rather rhan have to make an appointment.

Completely same, GP said yday she feels same, can think, prepare, research replies in a way that isn’t possible in 10 mins in the room. Doubt they’ll be given time allowance for extra time needed for complex stuff tho? Would be interesting to know

My GP rang me back 45 minutes after a telephone consultation because something else occurred to her while she was making a cuppa. Ordinarily, she couldn’t have done so.
