Remember at school we were repeatedly taken to a fire brigade warehouse where they deliberately started chip pan fires then chucked water on them, and honestly think it was an absolute genius way of teaching us fire safety. Also meant even my dumb post-ictal brain didn’t try it.

Oh my god. This happened at Lliswerry too. Do you remember them impressing upon us the danger of sand dunes too? Electricity sub stations were another big no no.

Electricity sub-stations seemed to have been the biggest risk to kids in Newport. Clearly there were about 5000 of them. Weird, considering I literally had a bloke try and get me in his car when I was 13 “asking for directions”.
