Growing up poor I'd been under the impression that cleaners were for offices, wealthy mansions, and people who needed help due to disability. I was surprised shortly after high school to find that was NOT the case, and I only found out from a friend getting a job as one.

Cleaning someone else's house is a really hard job. I've done it- they expect their big houses to be completely cleaned of dust & dirt etc in just 2 hours a week, they leave clutter everywhere-kids toys, piles of books, papers which have to be moved/tidied to even start cleaning.
