I just had a TV producer ask me if it was better to hide your racist books when people come round, or leave them proudly on display. Only two options apparently.

Reeeally. All my fiction is alphabetised by author surname and nothing else. Books then in smaller sections: history, politics, housing history, welfare policy, etc etc.
I once had an interviewer get very excited about me having a religion and mythology section on my bookshelves, and claim it revealed something deep about my personality. It was only 30 books or so, tucked in between history and astrophysics.
I have a copy of the Bible, I could put it next to Street of Crocodiles by Bruno Schultz but it wouldn't make a shelf full. I have some Bob Dylan LPs....
