The Tories are going to find relying on the “strivers versus skivers” rhetoric after COVID19 harder, because so many people who’d ordinarily never claim will have experienced the reality of barriers to the social safety net, or at the very least, know friends & family who have.

TBF, the relationship between long periods of Parliamentary recess and the apparent disinclination of many MPs to get off their arses - even sit up properly on the benches, in some cases - and do their jobs is quite suggestive.
