It's not impossible. Government can lay out the next few months under the expectation that things remain as they are. What your man is asking is easily answered with "we have a plan" and he's happy.

It's not impossible. When are we getting more ventilators, who is making them, how many, can we do it sooner and quicker and within the UK industry? There's so much that isn't being asked.

Agreed. Asking for precision just sets them up to waffle about how "it's very complicated and Mr Starmer doesn't understand all the ins and outs". By setting the bar lower it's more embarrassing if they fail to meet it
