I've regularly asked staff in Streatham shops how people are being, while my shopping is being rung up; the general vibe is that a couple of weeks ago people were manic and rude, but queues outside the door, and hence fewer people inside, have made shoppers more Zen.

I shop in Stamford Hill (biggest Morrison's near me, and they have the best value and best wines); furthest western edges of N16 and Haringey-ish.
