As someone who has worked at home for six years and is regularly ill for two weeks or more, I am essentially a sage in this brave new plague-ridden world.

My best advice is make sure you always have a big stock of paracetamol/ibuprofen, collect your prescriptions in plenty of time, keep several bottles of squash to hand, and batch cook stews/soups/pasta sauce to freeze for when you’re too ill to cook.

Also when you are ill, watch box sets you haven’t seen for years in bed so you don’t have to follow the plot religiously, and it doesn’t matter when you nod off.

Also ICE LOLLIES. When you have a sore throat or throw up everything you drink they are a lifesaver in tricking your stomach.
